| FIREBALL E-40 & E-120 TO
E2 SOFTWARE UPDATE PROGRAM The FREE FireBall E2 software update
is available to all FireBall E-40 and E-120 customers. The E2 software update contains
many new features and as such, there exists the possibility to cause issues with some
current installations that are dependent upon these features. It is our goal to make you
aware of these new features and any changes to the current E-40/120 features set before
you agree to receive the update.
In order for your FireBall to receive the update, it is important that you thoroughly
read the following information and accept the terms of the update. Once you complete this
form, you will be instructed on how to obtain the update for your FireBall E-40 or E-120.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Once you update to the new E2 feature set it will not be possible to revert to the
previous software version without restoring the system to it's original factory default
condition. Restoring the system to factory default condition will erase all personal data
such as media files, cover art, playlists, custom groups, library edits, and system
configurations.
- A FireBall connected to third party control system like AMX, Crestron, Elan, etc
should be tested for compatibility once the update is installed. Escient has not removed
any of the external control commands available on the E software platform, but cannot
guarantee that your installation will not break due to the highly customizable nature of
these installations. Escient will not be responsible for any additional costs resulting
from custom reprogramming requirements.
- The OG button on the remote and keyboard are reprogrammed as the toggle All/None
function
- Existing WAV files will continue to work, but you can not record new WAV files. The FLAC
encoder should be used to store true CD quality audio.
- Importing WAV files using the File Sharing interface will cause the WAV files to
automatically be converted into the currently selected audio format (MP3 or FLAC)

I have read the above information and AGREE to the terms of the
update.

I have read the above information and wish NOT to update my
FireBall.
